Rachel Alexandra delivers bay colt in Kentucky (AP)


Rachel Alexandra, the 2009 horse of the year, has given birth to a 125-pound colt sired by 2007 and 2008 horse of the year Curlin. Stonestreet Farm manager Gary Megibben says the bay colt was born on Sunday afternoon near Lexington, Ky. and took his first steps an hour and a half after birth.
