Buffalo Bills cornerback Terrence McGee has agreed to restructure the final two years of his contract, providing the team salary relief if he continues to miss playing time. In exchange, McGee agreed to an incentive-laden deal based on him staying healthy and playing. Without going into detail, McGee's agent, Ron Raccuia, disclosed the nature of the restructured contract agreed to on Wednesday.

The St. Louis Rams will play that "home" game in London later this year after settling a lease dispute with the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Bureau. The deal announced late Tuesday allows the Rams to play the New England Patriots at Wembley Stadium on Oct. 28. The lease had required the team to play all home games at the Edward Jones Dome in St.

The NFL Coaches Association has hired sports lawyer David Cornwell as its executive director. Cornwell has represented both the NFL and the union as well as several prominent NFL players, including Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. He also was a candidate to become executive director of the NFL Players Association in 2009, a job that went to DeMaurice Smith.

Tom Martinez, the longtime personal coach to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, has died at 67. His wife, Olivia, told the San Mateo Daily Journal (http://bit.ly/wZC5Vl ) that he died Tuesday after suffering a heart attack while receiving dialysis treatment. The San Francisco Chronicle reported he died in Redwood City.

The Minnesota Vikings say the organization has reached a tentative deal with the University of Minnesota on how much the team will pay to use TCF Stadium while a new Vikings stadium is being built. Vikings spokesman Lester Bagley declined to name a dollar amount, but said the "agreement in principle" would add about 3,000 temporary end zone seats to the 50,000-seat stadium.

The Chiefs agreed to terms on a $19.6 million, three-year deal with cornerback Stanford Routt on Monday, which should help Kansas City absorb the potential loss of Brandon Carr. Nearly a dozen former NFL players living in Louisiana have sued the NFL, the latest players to accuse the league of failing to protect players from the risks associated with concussions. Several former New Orleans Saints players, including John Fourcade, are among the 11 ex-players named as plaintiffs in the class-action lawsuit filed Friday in federal court in New Orleans.
