Iowa hires Ferentz's son to coach O-line (AP)


Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz has hired his son, Brian, away from the New England Patriots to coach the Hawkeyes offensive line. Ferentz also announced Saturday that assistant LeVar Woods has been promoted to linebackers coach. Brian Ferentz played for the Hawkeyes from 2002-05. He spent the last four years with the Patriots, serving as tight ends coach last season.
